   Dogwood Management Partners is seeking an energetic Senior IAM/IdM Engineer/Team Lead for a permanent position opening we have in the Washington, DC area. The Senior IAM/IdM Engineer we are seeking will be responsible for developing, architecting and implementing Identity Access Management solutions for our clients – mostly federal government agencies. Due to the nature of the work with federal clients, no third party candidates or visa candidates can be considered.

   The Senior IAM/IdM Engineer must have strong system integration skills, development skills, and direct hands-on LDAP, Single Sign On, and PKI experience. This person will be responsible for development, engineering, integration and implementation of single sign-on, provisioning/de-provisioning, and federation (SAML/WSFed) solutions for our clients based on the ForgeRock family of products: OpenIDM, OpenAM and OpenDJ and other tools such as SailPoint and PingFederate. However, direct experience with those specific tools is not necessary. • 7 years of experience supporting identity management solutions and technologies
• Must have excellent troubleshooting skills
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Experience creating detail design documents for solutions being implemented in Identity and Access management applications.
• Experience installing, upgrading and configuring identity and access management applications
• Experience in Identity Management products including user provisioning development / configuration / implementation
• Experience with Single Sign-on technologies including Federation (SAML/WSFed) configuration / development / implementation
• Experience integrating Access management tools with third party and custom applications and troubleshooting relevant integrating issues
• Experienced in information security technologies and industry best practices
• Knowledge of software development principles, design patterns and test driven development
• Working knowledge of programing languages such as Java, JavaScript and Perl
• Exposure with source control tools (e.g. Subversion, GIT, CVS)
• Exposure with one or more of the following build and deployment tools – Ant, Maven, Jenkins, Gradle, Ivy
• Experience in Application Servers such as Tomcat, Weblogic or other commercial products.
• Familiarity with SQL and either MS-SQL or Oracle databases
• Hands on experience in working with workflows and customizing workflows to meet business requirements
• Experience with PKI, SSL Protocols and Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP)
• Good communication skills
• Ability to teach and cross train other team members
• Experience with federal government projects

The Senior Engineer will provide oversight to other staff and provide on-site leadership to ensure that project objectives are achieved and project deadlines are met by:
• Develop, architect and implement IDM tools
• Customize existing IDM tools to fulfill requirements
• Recommend improvements, remediation or requirements for projects
• Develop documentation, guides and presentations;
• Develop strong partnerships with our clients, vendors and industry resources;

To accomplish these tasks the Senior IAM/IdM Engineer will work with a team of Engineers/Project Managers on various projects. The engineer must have experience with business analysis to understand the business requirements and implementation needs for successful implementation of the IDM related technologies.

• Ensure success of IAM implementations and meet the client’s needs.
• Install and upgrade identity and access management applications.
• Gather user input to understand scenarios and develop detailed technical requirement documents
• Work closely with clients during deployments, upgrades, and changes to ensure requirements are being met;
• Ensure the IAM product integrates successfully with various systems (such as Unix/Linux servers, Active Directory, single sign on (SSO), and relational databases);
• Create technically oriented materials including internal and external tech notes, whitepapers, how-to procedures and user-facing technical presentations.
• Work with infrastructure team on any end point issues for systems access. Determine root cause of system failures and perform testing for code deployments.
