ACQUISITION OPERATIONS LEAD

Under a government contract, Dogwood Management Partners, an SDVOSB, is seeking
a well-qualified individual for an Acquisition Operations Lead opening in
Huntsville, AL. This is an immediate need for a full-time and permanent position
offering a competitive salary, plus benefits. Due to
the secure nature of this government contract, only U.S. Citizens with an Active
DOD Secret can be considered. Therefore, no third party or visa candidates can
be considered. Not available for remote.
Operations Lead will provide support in all activities associated with source
selections including facilities (conference rooms, evaluator workrooms, and
evaluation working space) to support competitive source selections and
non-competitive selection negotiations at various stages of the evaluation and
This individual will serve as a DA alternate security manager for source selection facilities operations.
Configure evaluation workrooms to support SSEBs requirements.
Maintain and update the Source Selection Portal page and coordinate the recurring requirement for SSIBCs for all senior level MDA personnel. Verify set up of Source Selection Evaluation Board (SSEB) requirements and ensure upload proposal documentation and other Source Selection Documents as required.
Act as the project lead in an operations role to coordinate MDA IC actions to improve, install, or repair SSF IT resources.
Coordinate with MDA/DPF to resolve facilities any issues related to the SSFs and ensure adequate office supplies are available for use during the various meetings and evaluation sessions.
Provide support to the Source Selection Manager (SSM) including, but not limited to, interaction with Source Selection Evaluation Board (SSEB) to develop and update detailed acquisition schedules, and identification of variances from original plan. Organize, implement, and maintain scheduling system supporting identified acquisitions. Set up tasks and sub tasks to ensure satisfactory realization of acquisition requirements as scheduled. Analyze critical path and constraints to determine effect of changes to schedule and recommend work-around. Evaluate project schedule progress and performance and identify developing problem areas. Conduct analysis to determine alternative courses of action and inform management of risks/impacts associated with delay in the schedule.
Configuration control of documentation within the data management system and provide status reports for coordination and reporting purposes. Keep DA and DAC management informed on schedule progress. Develop and maintain a tracking and reporting system that includes the status, location, and current actions pertaining to all past and current source selections.
Operations Lead, that Dogwood is seeking, will work in support of the Missile
Defense Agency/Department of Acquisition and Contract Policy (MDA/DA) and
applies related business management, the implementation of technology solutions
and business knowledge, and judgment, to acquisition, readiness, financial,
legislative affairs, and international issues as they relate to complex weapon
systems. This individual will need to possess core business skills and
specialized knowledge that will advance a MDA/DA objectives, and contribute to
the mission of the Source Selection Facility, contributing to the improvement of
overall facility performance.
Active DOD Secret Clearance
Bachelors Degree business related field (Information Technology or Business Administration)
IT Project Management Experience
Database / Configuration Control Management Experience
Procurement / Acquisition Experience
Familiarity with MDA business directives, policies, procedures and instructions a plus
Previous MDA, DoD or Military experience is desired
The ability to work as a member of teams and assist with solving complex problems
Excellent interpersonal skills
Written and verbal communication, including technical writing skills
Organizational and time management skills are essential
Proficient in Microsoft Office
