Dogwood Management Partners, LLC.
IT Staffing Account Executive-Contract
Are you an IT
staffing professional looking to make a change for the better?
Partners is a 14-year old IT staffing firm with a stellar track record of
recruiting hard to find IT specialists in the government space. (Our largest
client is IBM Global Business Services (Federal)-- we are a Preferred
Supplier; our mutual federal agencies read like a who's who.) We have our
own excellent team of experienced recruiters, our own facility security
officers, excellent internal processes, strong financial strength and a
great leadership team-- even though we're a company of less than 50 people.
We have one of the highest employee retention rates in the industry--
more on that below.
While we have the recruiting capacity and financial muscle to take things to the next step, it's time for us to find a few good people to join our team that live in northern Virginia, Maryland or the District. All of our sales members work remotely, so we don't care where you live-- as long as you can do the job.
We don't care how young or how old you are, what citizenship, sex or color you are, where you went to school or what kind of degree you have-- or if you even have a degree. We DO care about things like ethics, honesty, excellent communications skills, client relationship management, and a habit of doing the right thing because it's the right thing.... and RESULTS.
There are NO caps on your income at Dogwood. We expect the right person for this job to bring home $250,000+ per year after a year of hard work-- followed by more years with even more income, because our commission program ensures you're paid for ongoing work while you remain on our team. We don't re-assign accounts to others, we don't re-align territories, and we don't put hindrances in your path. You would be working for our VP of Sales (who is a Partner in the firm).
What kind of skills do you need? All of the following
1. A proven track record of closing IT staffing business-- federal or commercial. Or both.
2. Values and ethics. If you don't have them, don't apply.
3. An ability to think through and plan your work-- every DAY.
4. The energy and ability to work through the inevitable issues and challenges.
5. Creative thinking. You're the Account Executive-- get creative!!
6. Tenacity. If you don't have it, don't apply.
7. An ability to tough out the initial 2-month start-up period.
8. Account management experience and skills - especially mid-sized firms.
Dogwood is a 100% "work remote" company. All of our management and staff either work onsite at our client locations or work from home. This presents both opportunities (for those who thrive on working in an unstructured environment) as well as challenges. We have this position listed as metro DC, but frankly-- we don't care where you live. We DO care about results. You will be expected to have a home office, to provide your own laptop and an internet connection. We can provide a cell phone or a voice over IP line as needed.
The hiring process for this position is fairly simple
- We review resumes and cover letters for completeness
- We email back those who interest us and may ask a couple of email questions
- We call back those of interest to us
- We set up Skype calls with those we are seriously considering bringing on board
- Once we've made up our mind, we can bring you on in less than a week, if needed
Who is Dogwood? We're a Tampa-based company with virtual offices in metro Atlanta and Arlington (Virginia). We get RESULTS. Our Dunn & Bradstreet OpenRatings (from our clients) ranked us in the 98th-99th percentile in areas such as providing the right people to projects, results, communications with our clients, responsiveness to needs and good old-fashioned values. This coveted "A+" rating is due to years of hard work, fair dealings and an attention to detail for our clients and our employees. It's indicative of why we have one of the highest employee retention rates in the industry-- we take care of our people.
This position has a small ($2k) 1099 base but with significant commissions and a generous bonus program already in place and ready for the right persons to draw on. As soon as you demonstrate you're what we have been looking for, we'll look to convert you to employee status, with benefits to include vacation, medical, dental, vision and 401(k).
We are a service-disabled veteran-owned small business (SDVOSB) as certified by the VA's CVE; our CEO is former military before working 25 years in sales and management roles within the technology sector. Want to know more about us, our past successes and our management? Visit www.dogwood.net.
Please send your resume with cover letter (an email cover letter is fine) describing your past successes to firstname.lastname@example.org. All resumes and cover letters will be personally reviewed by the Managing Director and Exec VP of Sales at Dogwood. And thanks!
(Obviously it goes without saying that resumes that don't meet our minimum standards will be discarded.)
All resumes we receive, will be held in the strictest confidence. We never share your resume with anyone without discussing it with you first. Our ethics statement.
